About the coalition
The Independent Resolers Coalition is a trade association of independent climbing shoe resolers — small shops, mostly one or two benches deep, rebuilding shoes the industry would rather sell you again.
Why we organized
Every independent resoler wrestles with the same things alone: sourcing quality rubber and lasts, proprietary compounds locked behind factory doors, shipping across borders, and educating climbers who don't know resoling exists. Together, those problems get smaller.
We advocate for repair-grade access to soling rubber, lasts, and components — because a shoe you can't repair is a shoe designed for the landfill.
We share techniques, tooling, and hard-won bench knowledge among members so that "independent" never means "inconsistent."
Most climbing shoes are thrown away resolable. Every climber we teach to check their toes grows the market for every member shop.
Membership
Membership is open to independent climbing shoe resoling businesses. Members get a listing on the directory and map, access to shared sourcing and technical resources, and a voice in what the coalition takes on next.
Directory + map listing · shared supplier and sourcing knowledge · technique and tooling exchange · collective voice on materials access and right-to-repair issues.
Independently owned resoling operations of any size, anywhere in the world. If you own your benches and answer to your customers, you belong here.
